Lady Diver 1900 - San Francisco Bay - a woman diver - circa 1900

Yes they used terms like “Lady Tar” for a woman sailor (that is, a woman sailing a yacht) and Lady Diver. I wrote a diving scene. So my female sleuth goes diving in 1900. I had already written the scene and decided I needed to flesh it out a bit more, it was suspenseful but I hoped to add even more detail. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this gem - how fortuitous. Diving then was quite the daring event with regulators, hoses, and 200+ pound weighted suits! I also like the illustrated marine life for the story.
